Kate Lovell of ‘As You Like It Limited’ is definitely the most organised person I know.
She is extremely professional and her warm and friendly nature makes it a pleasure to work with her.
Kate assisted with the planning and running of the Life Education Breakfast held on 4 May 2018 - the
major fundraiser for Life Education in the Western Bay of Plenty.
With 200 guests, and with Gemma McCaw, Dr Anna Rolleston and Sam Dowdall (Sam the Barter
Barber) as the special guest speakers, Kate’s involvement contributed considerably to the success of the
event.
Not only did she give her time, energy and expertise free of charge as her contribution to Life Education
in the Western Bay of Plenty region, she also used her extensive business network to convince several
of her colleagues in the wedding industry to give their time and services free of charge, as well.
This made a huge difference to the success of the event.
Like all committees, our trustees had differing opinions and expectations at the start of the planning
process. Kate relates well to different personalities and is able to quickly diffuse any potentially difficult
situation to ensure that all are in agreement, everyone has the same expectations, and the event is a
success.
Kate has a natural ability to identify any potential issues, and this means she keeps to the brief, in a
professional, efficient and calm manner.
I have no hesitation in recommending Kate Lovell and ‘As You Like It Limited’ to anyone who wants a
well-run event.

We chose Kate as our celebrant as I have known her for years, since primary school in fact! and
she is the most lovely, down to earth person.

Kate officiated at our wedding which was held at the Black Walnut in Whakamarama
on 28 Dec 2019. Kate is professional, caring, through, well organised and actively
listens to you as a couple. Many of our guests commented on how lovely Kate was
and I think its thanks to her that our day went off so well.
Kate goes the extra mile; she quietly and expertly guided us through the ceremony.
However Kate is far more than just what happens on the day itself. It's all extra little
touches which I believe make her an outstanding celebrant.

If you are a bride who is planning for your wedding for x-months/weeks, trust me -
you don't want to be coordinating on the actual day.
We had 84 guests (including kids aged 0-10yo), so having Kate around for the
church rehearsal and ceremony was a welcome reassurance for my peace of mind
and overall sanity!
She also worked well with the church staff and other vendors (florist,
photo/videographers, musician etc.). Most especially, our guests felt that everything
was in order because of her presence.

Thank you so much for taking the stress and hassle away from us while planning in the first few months. Gathering all the quotes and making all the appointments for us to make all the big decisions – venue, photographer, florist, cake……. You lifted a big weight off our shoulders in that initial planning phase. Then we were in wedding dormancy for a few months, which was nice!
When things ramped up again we were so happy to have you with us. Thank you for handling the rehearsal, for helping us set up tables, for pointing out options that I wouldn’t have thought of.
You made our wedding day completely stress-free. We cannot thank you enough for liaising with Olive Tree staff during the pre-ceremony when it was all up in the air as to whether we would be inside or outside. Because of you, Isaac was free to enjoy catching up with the guests instead of worrying about that himself.
Thank you so much for organising the bridal party for the ceremony. I honestly don’t know how I would have handled the stress of walking down the aisle (and making sure the flower girls knew when to start walking) if I didn’t have your reassuring face smiling and nodding at me!
And thank you so much for organising everyone for the photos and helping Rach to make that part run so smoothly.

Kate Lovell is a details lady. She has you covered when it comes to being in charge of wedding coordination. On first meeting with Kate she was incredibly friendly and eager to hear what we as the Bride and Groom wanted for our big day. She listens intently during a meeting or rehearsal and will deliver what she has noted.
Having Kate on board took the load off us on the day. And that's what you want. You want to completely relax into your wedding day knowing that the table, those flowers or even that pen is in the right place. It's the small things and Kate takes your checklist from you. This allowed our parents to relax and take in the day without worrying about all the little intricate tasks. This is something that was really important to us as Bride and Groom.
